Where Can I Serve?
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Marin Asian Community Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community and spreads overseas to every nation. Marin Asian Community Church members are involved in a variety of ministries, from things as simple as preparing a dish for our Sunday luncheons to teaching the children in Sunday School.
Mission Outreach
Marin Asian Community Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. We encourage all of our members to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they financially and prayerfully support a missionary or minister in our own community.
Music & Audio-Visual
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and audio-visual ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the technical side of the worship service. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of Marin Asian Community Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
Welcoming & Hospitality
The Welcoming and Hospitality teams at Marin Asian Community Church fill an important role. They are involved in greeting newcomers, helping visitors, providing direction, passing out bulletins, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. They also follow-up with newcomers to make sure they make connections with others in the church and have any questions answered that may arise. The Welcoming and Hospitality team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.
Media & Technology
Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Marin Asian Community Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook page and Twitter account for additional church communication.
House of Prayer
Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Marin Asian Community Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Volunteers are constantly praying for the church both on Sundays and throughout the week, making sure to pray for the leaders of the church, church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs.
Christian Education
In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Marin Asian Community Church holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Children have their own worship time where they can sing and praise the Lord, followed by a time of learning God’s word in Sunday School classed catered to their age groups. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from crafts, to games, to object lessons — so that our kids can know the Lord better and hopefully someday come into a personal relationship with Jesus.
